Lucky DI Unlucky Story (2013) Review by puninder-bhatia from India
Last night i went to see this movie with high hopes (because of SmeepKang), and i was correct. The movie delivers bang on. It is a laughtertherapy. In first half of the movie i could not even sit on my chair,as i was trying to find gaps where i can stop laughing, and so waseveryone else in theater.
Second half was a little dull but has intelligent punches. Story isagain twist and turns, murders, unlucky instances which revolves aroundLucky (Gippy Grewal), who has acted much better than he did in Carry onJatta. Binnu Dhillon was also spot on which his delivery but the showstoppers were again Gurpreet Ghuggi and Jaswinder Bhalla with theirimpeccable dialogue delivery.
Smeep Kang has also acted in this movie and he was good, but it was hisscript writing (1 point below Carry on Jatta, but still 90% new andintelligent punches) and direction (better than carry on Jatta, withforeign locations) which makes the movie a treat for eyes, ears, brain,mouth, actually most places and muscles of a human body and you woulddie laughing.
All in All, although it doesn't have a magic of Carry on Jatta, but itis sure shot a top movie punjabi movie of the year 2013.
