Story: Samuel Peters once an ordinary man, dabbles within the laws of voodoo to bring his wife back from the grave, he soon encounters the God of malevolence 'Kalfu', where he makes a pact with him to destroy the underworld and bring chaos to earth; in return he will become 'The Zombie King' and walk the earth for eternity with his departed wife. Seven days before the rise of the Dark Moon, Samuel Peters (The Zombie King) calls upon Kalfu to raise seven of the recently departed, where their souls must be held on earth for seven days. With the ever growing horde of zombies, they begin to completely wipe out a countryside town. Once the Government get wind of what is going on, they set a perimeter around the town area and employ a shoot on sight policy. Trapped within the town, the locals and unlikely bunch of misfits fight for their lives, and the remaining humans soon realise that they have to unite in order to survive. The story focuses around Edward Furlongs character 'Samuel Peters' whoisn't coping with the death of his wife, he turns to the CoreyFeldman's character, voodoo god of malevolence 'Kalfu' to make a dealto re-unite him with his wife. When this going on we're also given thestory of the people suffering from the consequences of Samuel Petersactions.
The story follows the three main characters which are a Milk Man, PostMan and a Traffic Warden, the banta between them is what sets the tonefor the film. Even though the humor can be tongue and cheek at times,it's what makes this a cracking little indie film.
The film does have its flaws along with other B movies but thischarming film can be forgiven for that as it has my favorite child staractors of the 80's anyone who is a Feldman or Furlong fan should Streamingthis.
Its on the same vain as Shaun of the Dead but a little darker.

I wasn't sure what I would make of this film before i saw it and I mustsay i was pleasantly surprised. Now don't get me wrong, it is not goingto be winning an Oscar but for a popcorn movie and some lightentertainment it really is fun! I would have maybe liked to see a tadmore horror, but in terms of entertainment value i was pleased. Therewas some fantastic acting and the cast were great, some weakercharacters but the central ones of the milkman, postie and trafficwarden were a hoot and some great acting from some of the supportingcharacters too. As a comedy this is definitely a winner and as a horrorit was good enough to be enjoyable, great for a night in when you wantto chill after along hard day. Well done.

Before I go into my review, lets get something straight I have giventhis movie a 10/10 on the basis that I really enjoyed this film as aviewer looking at it from the off set as a B Movie
Filming an Indie film there are time constraints, money constraints andlack of top of the range equipment, props etc
The filmmakers obviously put a lot of thought into the production, fromthe costume to locations. The zombie make-up for our day and age couldof been better done but let's go back to the day of 'Night of theLiving Dead' 1968 'George A. Romero', the zombie's here had the palesunken in features and nobody questioned that. I can see what thedirector was going for here, which again brings this film forward to aCult B Movie.
Picking up on some of the negative user reviews I have read, take yourtime to stand back and think about what you have wrote, this is not aserious film, it's a farcical comedy even from the offset ' A Milk Man,Post Man and Traffic Warden' in a middle of a zombie breakout, thereright from the start you know what to expect from this film. The oneliners are going to be strange like the old lady character, 'Vera'. TheMilk Man has some amazing lines which I reckon the younger generationwill be quoting after they Streaming the film. In one of the reviews I readthe postie character had done a bad Clint Eastwood impression, come onguys, the actor obviously did this on purpose to fit the style of thefilm and in my point of view he did a grand job, come on' "when I firstjoined the service, I worked on the estates in Newcastle" what Britperson over the age of 20 can not find that funny? Again in the samevain the character of the Priest fits this film perfectly the way theactor played it out, the ever knowing drunk priest, priceless. I feltthere was a great mix of characters, some better than others but all inall a great ensemble.
This film does have its faults even from my perspective but what Bmovie doesn't? I loved it, great effort from first time featuredirector 'Aidan Belizaire'. The director uses elements from the 'FrenchNew Wave' from lighting, to long takes, through to the segmented re-useof the scene with Edward Furlongs character, which was genius. It washis stylistic approach, again this helps towards this movie standingout and entering into a Cult Classic, not to mention having two of thebiggest child star actors of the 80's.
The filmmakers of this film obviously didn't want it to be youreveryday zombie film, which the market is completely over saturatedwith. They wanted to make it different, which they did. Don't Streamingthis film as a full on horror, Streaming it as a comedy.
This film will certainly not win any awards, and by the looks of it,it's a love hate thing. For a B movie it's certainly more entertaining,more thought out than a lot of the other indie zombie films which arehitting our shelves these day's .
One further point before I finish, great ending and homage to one ofgreatest classic's of George A. Romero.
